BIOGRAPHY
John Ozbay's a Designer, Coder and Musician by trade; manifesting his passion for minimalism, science and technology through music and code. Ozbay excels in designing unique experiences and artifacts; using technology, electronics, code, robotics and music as a medium of art and expression. He is a multiple Midas Gold awards winner, Shorty awards finalist engineer/creative, who attended the Oscars in 2016 with his works; and composer / musician / sound engineer with works that aired in festivals globally.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with Master's in Music and Technology (Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering and Music), he's the founder and CEO of Cryptee, A privacy focused, encrypted and secure storage service for photos, documents, files and notes.
Heavily inspired and driven by minimal composition, carrying rare nordic melodies, Ozbay's music takes the listener through a mantric, atmospheric journey. His music explores the boundaries of a classical genre at the intersection of art, science and technology. Minimalist piano melodies combined with glitches, digital artifacts, strings, orchestral percussions, and atmospheric sustaining harmonics, John Ozbay's futuristic music can be categorized as an imaginary film score.
